PGP Consulting as Strategic Advisor to NETFIBER for pilot FTTH network project in Ilion

The success of a fiber infrastructure project is measured not only by the length of the deployed network, but also by the difference it makes in citizens' everyday lives.

At PGP Consulting, we acted as the strategic advisor to NETFIBER for the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) pilot network deployment project in the Municipality of Ilion. NETFIBER is a new, open-access FTTH network operator. After rolling out 40 kilometers of fiber optic network in western Ilion, the FTTH network entered its commercial phase.

Our added value as PGP Consulting lay in transforming the complexity of planning and implementation - within a dense urban environment and involving multiple stakeholders - into structured strategic planning, effective coordination, and targeted decision-making. This approach enabled the project to swiftly transition to full operation and commercial exploitation.

Today, more than 10,000 households in the Municipality of Ilion have the option of accessing fast and reliable internet through alternative FTTH service providers such as NETFIBER.

For us, this is more than a successful project - it is a meaningful step toward digital inclusion and improving the quality of citizens' everyday lives.
